Remembering Carol Lavell

In 2023, the dressage community lost an icon with the passing of Carol Lavell. The United States Dressage Federation Official Page paid tribute to Carol with a video featuring “The Rhythm of Air”, a song which was inspired by Carol Lavell and Gifted and written by myself, a USDF member, dressage enthusiast, and big fan of Carol.

Now that we’re settled back in Maryland I thought it would be fun to share two snapshots of our time in Florida. As always, Huey made the trip with me and we both so enjoy our time in the sunshine state. And this year, longtime student Kat Sepka made the trip south with her pony Griff. And as you can see, even ponies can learn to piaffe!
